Our feature this week is Fashion Designer Marina Araujo Alvarez who is based in Barcelona,Spain. She studied Fashion Design at ESDI (2000-2004) and after graduating, she started her career At Look and Design Society Fashion & Sport Design Studio for the past 6 years and has worked for brands like the National Geographic. Since 2009, she has worked for Ellesse Italia At Dicaltex International where her work follows all the development process designing men's and women's apparel collection.

Her skill sets include Trend Research (International Shows, Shoppings, Books...), Colour, Design CAD's, Technical Specs, Prototype And Samples Until Production.

Her passion, includes modern design and keeping an eye on the latest trends for colors, fabrics, samples and graphics.

From one of my favorite source for trend magazines and books, recently available this week is trend publication Textile Report's Womenswear SS 2013 Trends. This single publication has 145 pages of Comprehensive textile and fashion trend information. Featured are womenswear reports, street fashion, designer shows, styling and color trends as well as fabric and print ideas, trade fair reports. I'm so thrilled to feature Hannah Marie Muers, a young and upcoming textile and surface designer and trend forecaster. She is currently finishing up her studies at the Cleveland college of Art & Design. Her experiences includes placements in the trends department at Hallmark, Mudpie Ltd mdpclick.com, and currently with Trend Bible.

She has a passion for vintage fashion and loves to shop and visit vintage fairs and charity shops. She is also inspired by vintage floral fashion prints and patterns which shows in her lovely work.
